If you are planning to visit Costa Rica and want to see some spectacular wildlife in a half day trip from your hotel then Palo Verde National Park is the perfect place to do it. Driving through the local town of Filadelfia between large sugar cane fields and cantaloupe plantations we will get arrive at the Tempisque River, one of the principal rivers in the Guanacaste province and considered a wonderland for hundreds of species of bird, reptiles and mammals. Our 2 hour trip on the river is very slow moving to allow you take in the sights and sounds around you. Nocturnal and aquatic birds, herons, egrets, two species of monkeys, iguanas, lizards and crocodiles are all there to be admired. This tour is recommended for all ages and also includes a delicious lunch consisting of the authentic Costa Rican dish called “Casado”, once of the most popular plates in our culture.
