From Los Sueños, only one hour away you will visit the beachside town of Caldera in the province of Puntarenas, where you will make a brief stop at a private property where a few families of capuchin monkeys are usually spotted. If you are lucky, you may encounter some that are very friendly.
Once you’re done with the visit to the monkey house, you can decide if you want to stop to eat (food not included) or if you want to head back to the hotel.
Important: the monkey experience does not take place at a sanctuary. This place is literally someone’s backyard. A few troops of capuchin monkeys got used to visiting this location, and now they can be found there daily.
